A recent news says that Samsung is preparing three series Exynos chipset for use in the ranks of the smartphone 2016. All three are Exynos 8890, the Exynos 7422, and Exynos 7880.Exynos 8890 also known by the code name Mongoose M1 chipset will be the flagship and destined to become the brain Galaxy S7. However, in some devices still use 820 Snapdragon as in several countries including the United States and China.
Exynos 8890 is said to be invited to speeding up to 2.3 GHz and Samsung will use a custom cores are different from the standard ARM cores. The use of custom cores are believed to enhance the capabilities and performance of the processor as it is successfully carried out Apple with processors series A and Qualcomm.
Samsung Exynos 8890 will be produced using 14nm FinFET process and ready for release in the second quarter of next year.
Two others are Exynos chipset Exynos 7422 and 7880. Both use the default architecture big.LITTLE with quad core ARM Cortex–A72 in the high-end and Cortex–A53 at the low end. These two new chipset will be launched in the second half of next year. Samsung is expected to prepare both for the line of Galaxy A in the middle class.
